Thanksgiving at a school for bakers and cooks at Camp Sheridan, Alabama in 1918. Camp Sheridan was a U.S. Army training facility located in Montgomery during World War I. It was situated on 4,000 acres of land approximately three miles northeast of downtown Montgomery. It was one of several camps the federal government established in Alabama to prepare U.S. soldiers and airmen for World War I.
